With approximately half of all visitors from these countries renting a car at some point during their U.S. trip, the scale is somewhat deceiving and it looks like all three country markets are pretty flat in terms of growth in rental car use. However, Venezuela posted a terrific 16 point climb in 1996 and now remains 12 points above the 1995 rate of usage. On the other hand, both Argentina and Brazil have seen modest declines against the 1995 level.
