According to the World Tourism Organization, world tourism delivered 613 million arrivals to the tune of $448 billion dollars to world economies. This represents nearly 13% of world exports of goods. It's estimated that more than 230 million people are directly employed in the travel and tourism industries or over 9% of the world's labor force.
