At the same time we, as U.S. citizens, traveled in far greater numbers than we hosted, with 56.8 million recorded, over 10 million more! By 1999 Tourism Industries estimates that 12.8 million more residents will be traveling abroad, including to Canada and Mexico, than international travelers will be visiting our country, topping nearly 60 million.
