Your Opportunity to Participate in the “GolfUSA” Pavilion
41st Japan Golf Fair
February 23 - 25, 2007
The U.S. Commercial Service in Japan is pleased to announce its participation in the 2007 Japan Golf Fair to be held at Tokyo Big Sight. This event is the largest event of its kind in Japan and is devoted exclusively to golf. Each year, the show draws thousands of golf industry executives and golf enthusiasts. In 2006, more than 46,000 visitors attended the event.
To highlight U.S. exhibitors at the show, The U.S. Commercial Service (USCS) Japan will organize a "GolfUSA" Pavilion. This venue will enable U.S. suppliers of golf-related goods/services and destinations the opportunity to meet face-to-face with thousands of Japanese end users, potential distributors, agents, and partners who can help your organization tap into the world's second largest golf market. By exhibiting as a part of the U.S. Pavilion, U.S. exhibitors will enjoy premium booth location, increased attention from visitors and press, discounts on space rental and fixtures, and support from USCS Japan before, during and after the show.
Special Package for U.S. Golf Destinations: $2,000 participation fee:
One of the booths in the GolfUSA Pavilion has been set aside with the specific purpose of highlighting U.S. golf destinations at the show. The booth will showcase a maximum of five different U.S. golf destinations and will be accompanied by a special promotional package that will include the following as part of the participation fee:
- GolfUSA exhibition space consisting of a shared 3 X 3 meter carpeted booth, furnished with tables and a counter. The number of exhibitors in the booth is 5.
- A poster or panel to promote your area/destination(s) in the booth
- Inclusion in a Japanese language full-color "GolfUSA" special guidebook in which each exhibitor will receive 2 full color pages with which to promote their destination. To see a copy of the 2006 guidebook, please visit: http://www.buyusa.gov/japan/en/golf.html (Translation from English to Japanese for inclusion into the guidebook is also included)
Tremendous Market Potential:
There are 2500 golf courses, 3000+ driving ranges, and more than 11 million golfers in Japan.
After more than a decade in recession, the Japanese economy has finally begun to recover. As a result, the demand for recreational activities and related products is growing rapidly. Golf, in particular, has seen a market resurgence in course play and the sale of golf-related products. According to recent market reports, this trend has been bolstered by the increased number of female golfers and family members who are now entering the sport.
A secondary trend of note is the increasing number of Japanese golfers who are traveling to golf destinations abroad to enjoy the sport. U.S. Participants in the 2007 Japan Golf Fair will be able to capitalize on this market recovery by showcasing their products, services and destinations to the more than 50,000 visitors expected to attend this year's exhibition.
