Monthly international visitation data are collected and reported from the National Travel and Tourism Office's (NTTO) Visitor Arrivals Program (I-94 Record). NTTO is the only source for this information. All other government agencies or private sector organizations who may report visitation to the United States have obtained this information from NTTO.
Each month NTTO processes and reports arrivals in the "Summary of International Travel to the United States" report. This report is available to the public for a fee. Within the report, there are 35 tables providing information collected on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security I-94 record. Included are country of residency, type of visa, mode of transport, age of the traveler, their port-of-entry, and the first intended address (or address while in the U.S.) of the visitor (by state).
To help the public better understand the international market and get a better idea of what is available in the "Summary" report, NTTO publishes Table C on-line. Table C provides monthly and year-to-date visitor arrival figures for Overseas, Canada, Mexico (air, sea, and limited land arrivals), and select top countries and overseas regions. NTTO also produces an Analysis Update, which can be viewed and printed. This analysis highlights the visitor arrival statistics for Overseas, Canada, Mexico (air, sea, and limited land arrivals), and select top countries and overseas regions.
