=== TINEWS =================================== An information service from Tourism Industries 6/21/99 Tourism Industries Seeks Your Input
Tourism Industries would like to thank you for making the TInet web site a growing success. TInet averaged a record high of almost 38,000 hits per week in the 3rd quarter of 1999. The web site also averaged a record of nearly 5,800 unique requests per week. TInet hits peaked in the second week of May with almost 50,000 hits (over 7,000 unique requests), the period following the public announcement and release of TI's 1998 inbound data through the Tourism Week News section. In the 3rd quarter 1999 thus far, TInet has received 412,941 total hits. This is compared with 169,429 hits during the same period last year. This phenomenal growth (+144%) is, in part, attributed to good word-of-mouth publicity from subscribers like you. We have received a positive response for the direct access to our latest information in the "Tourism Week News" section on the front page. Now that Tourism Week has come to a close, we would like your input on a new name for this section. To help you get a better idea of how other users utilize our site, we have put together a list of intended uses, as described by TInet customers.
